oh yes. my stupid stupid manager went on leave and left us with his pile of shit to clean up. it's a total mess. i have never been so tired like this and working so kelam kabut like this week. he's resigning, yes. good news but not so good when we found out he screwed up so bad that it's really affecting everyone.
gotta sleep now. tomorrow presentation with Vads Berhad CEO followed by another radio recording.
this was during the recording today. tomorrow another session for the radio ads. i like this studio. it's called Imaginex. they did the recent War of the Worlds Goliath animation movie. Imaginex has won so many awards and has always been all advertising agencies choice when it comes to audio mixing, radio commercials and stuff related to sound mostly.im jealous of whoever gets to work there. it's so cool.

Wedding Prep
i have been very busy preparing for my wedding in june. wedding planning is a pain in the ass. it's january and close to february already. time is ticking so fast im waiting for a heart attack.
apparently my dad has changed his mind about having the nikah at the hotel. he wants us to do it at home. my mom's house. and when he suddenly decided on that, me and mummy got really panicked because OMG WE HAVE TO FIX THE HOUSE.
so yes, right now we are reworking on the house to look like a house. haha. those who have come inside my house would know. it's a bachelor pad. not a living family home. it's a mess!
so first off, my mom has decided to paint the walls. oh ok. then change the door. ok. then change the bed, mattress, furnitures, kitchen, tiles, and everything else. wow. gila ka apa. nikah satu malam je kot. takkan semua nak tukar kot?
it's crazy shit. we havent even set the nikah date yet. my dad wants to do it in mid may. whatttttt??? makin lama makin cepat tarikh dia. apa pun tak buat lagi ni! dammit!
so yes. im panicking. like shit.
here's my 5 pages of wedding checklist.
I EVEN HAVE A CALL SHEET FOR MY FAMILY! for those who dont know what a call sheet is:

The daily call sheet is a filmmaking term for a sheet of paper issued to the cast and crew of a film production, created by an assistant director, informing them where and when they should report for a particular day of shooting.[1][2]The production schedule is listed by call time, the time when people are expected to start work on a film set.
so basically in advertising industry, production house will send us a call sheet for us to refer to the shooting schedule and most importantly, our call time to the set. so im doing this for my family so that no one is going to be missing or pretend that they dont know the time.
And here goes the wedding venues i've been compiling since last year. oh guess what, i even summarize everything in an excel sheet.
oh how i wish i can show you my scrap book for all the dresses, designs, materials, fabrics, samples and things like that. that i have with me for my reference.
this is, Wedding OCD,
last sunday after abang long's reception, me and my mom went to the furniture shop to buy a dressing table for my bridal room. i dont know why but my mom has been nagging about buying a dressing table a lot to me since last year. she was like, bila nak beli dressing table u ni? eh cepat la beli. nanti ikut i pegi beli! u kena beli! amendeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! of all the things yang lagi important, she wants to buy the dressing table first. that is like so important to her above everything else. gila.
so i had to follow her (no choice) to this korean furniture shop in ampang and buy a dressing table. it costs us a bomb! it's freaking rm1,200 table. pembaziran duit yang tah pape baik aku beli handbag! mom paid so shut up.
at first she chose the traditional tah pape tables that i dont like. but then again, i dont give a shit about the table. nak beli macam mana pun beli laaaaa. takkan nak letak toiletries and tengok cermin je kot. it doesnt matter to me. but it matters a lot to her. so we bought the one that i chose, which i feel is more english-y look than the typical traditional look (note: my mom memang obsessed with antics and woods).
nah.
kedai ni siap letak frame gambar lagi kat atas table tu. lol.

Car missing!
oh my god it's a suwey month for H and family. definitely!
last thursday H's car was stolen outside his apartment's compound in Kota Damansara. it was parked outside but near to the guard post at 11.30pm and found missing the next day when we were heading out to shopping around 3.30pm.
we went to 3 police stations and 4 times in total to make the report, investigation and things like that. insurance company said it takes 6 month after the car's stolen date for him to get the claim. i have no idea why anyone would want to steal that car since it's a moving junk and aged 11 years already.
and it happened the day before his abang's nikah. dah la huru hara with the wedding prep, kereta hilang pulak! thank god they have extra car at home - viva elite. wakakakakkaka. H mengamuk habis and really really upset because his beloved car got stolen (mengamuk because of sentimental value, not so much on the car's worth, lol) and upset because he has to drive a viva. lol.
he was really against viva since that car model's first launched by perodua. he said that car is a sissy car, weak, not manly enough, too square, too girlie, etc etc etc. now he has to drive it - no choice bro! that car was actually his abang's car that their parents bought last year. but since his brother's getting married this year, they bought a new honda car for him last december - as a wedding gift and for his brother's use as a family car. so the viva was left at home and nobody has used it since then.
now it goes to H. but thankfully the car is only for temporary use since his parents will buy us a new car too for our wedding later. dia kena tahan sikit la pakai viva tu. it's not that bad, really. it's a very practical car. it's just the cosmetic that turned off the taste a bit.
so anyway, after this we are not going to park outside the apartment ever again. i hope we dont find the car within these 6 months because if the car is found within 6 months in totally damaged condition, the insurance wont pay for it. damn.

Dinner Gone Wrong
Im in the mood of blogging. Maybe because so many things happened during the weekend, i just have a lot in mind i want to share with... Um, friends, strangers and stalkers? Lol.
Last night...
*Dup.. Dup.. Dup..* sound effect kena ada.
I went to dinner. With H's family. To celebrate his younger brother, Emir, birthday.
It's very 'standard' for us to gather and go out for dinner whenever there's a birthday in the family. Benda biasa la tu. Normally H's mother will text her family members reminding them of a date they have confirmed to celebrate it so that everyone wil make do and clear their schedule (it's very hard to see all at once due to everyone's hectic schedule and all, now that they have grown up). Im sure u guys do the same too with ur families, to gather when there's a special occassion not because of the food, but to catch up with each other, right? If not, then ure pathetic.
Ok back to the story. H told me a week ago, casually, "b, next sunday birthday emir. Kita gi makan seafood with my family". Oh ok. No prob! Just pick me up and we'll go together then. Simple as that.
H and his family came to my house n pick me up, then off we go to the seafood place. 7 of us in 1 car. Haha. Nasib baik muat. H said naik satu kereta je la. Senang. Ok, im fine with it.
But then in the car, i wondered why h's big brother came along without his fiance. Then i thought, maybe she's working on a sunday night shift (she's a houseman doctor in hospital selayang). Knowing so well the way shift people work, i understand if she had to work during the weekend because mmg norm kan kala weekends the priority always be given to the old married ones, those who have kids at home.
Arriving at the seafood restaurant in subang, we had our dinner, chatted about whats happening recently and whats going to happen... Ala all those standard stuff. Then while i w as talking to h's brother, i told him that my mom wants to give him a holiday voucher as a wedding gift. So i asked him whether he wants to go to langkawi or bali? He said he needed to call his fiance and ask her about it first. Oh ok, sure. And then he left the table.
He came back and said, Langkawi.
Cool.
But then, he turned to his mother..
And asked "mummy, kenapa mummy tak ajak ika dinner sekali?"
With all seriousness on his face.
Knowing this should be a private matter, i tried to divert my attention to h's sister on my left and chatted with her about something else.
But the awkwardness was too much. I could hear h's mother (who sat just next to h sister) replied him that she already asked him to invite his fiance but he was the one who said that his fiance will be busy.
The argument began. The brother said no mom didnt ask him, his fiance is not working today, y didnt u just invite her anyway, blaming the mother.
And i sat there. Uncomfortable with all this. I should give them some privacy so i excused myself to go to the toilet.
And took a fucking long time in there pretending my bladder was full with a 50-gallon water in it.
The longest kencing ever.
Came back to the table and saw everyone's back on a different better topic. I pretended nothing happened and continued my cheerie goodself to kill the awkward feeling inside.
We finished the good dinner afterwards and went back home.
Instead of sending me back the way they picked me up, ive decided to just go to their house and asked h to send me off later. So i lepak-ed at his house chatting with his mom for another hour before deciding to go back, since it's late and i have to work in the morning.
In the car, h brought up the topic again. About what happened when i went to the toilet pretending to pee.
The mother scolded his brother for asking those questions in front of me. It was disrespectful and made me feel uncomfortable. He shoulve asked that when theyre back home. In a way, he also spoiled his younger brother's birthday dinner. His mother was really pissed at the way his brother behaved. I second his mother that he shouldve asked it at home, its a private matter. But im sure that the brother whom i see a bit naive, didnt think when he spoke of that.
It was all just a big misunderstanding. His brother thought HIS MOM invited me directly, when the truth was that his mom just told h about the dinner and H WAS THE ONE who wanted to bring me along to dinner, like "ok mummy nanti i bawak lydia". Simple as that. Then when his brother went to make a call to his fiance, apparently his fiance didnt know i was coming along too and surprised that i was there chatting with him, and so... Merajuk.
Amendeeee laaaaa. H and i were laughing about it because, ok...thing is, his brother n fiance have dated for 7 years already. She has been going to their family dinner and all sorts of other occassions for years before i came into picture. Logically, when u think about it la kan, she is already used to it, to their ways. Sooo i dont see a point y u wouldnt feel like ure invited or, just invite urself if ure already apart of the family. By right this is not an issue at all. Yang abang nya pun patutnya bawak je la dia terus. Busy or not, just invite her. Whether she can come or not, at least she got the invitation.
Case not closed.
So todayyyyy, we all got a text from h's mom.
"salam family, ika's birthday is on the 28th jan. We'll be going back to the seafood restaurant for dinner to celebrate her birthday on the 27th"
Omg.
H immediately call me and talk about it. We were both shocked. Was the merajuk really that bad? Sampai kena ada dinner replacement AT THE SAME PLACE again?
I told h that i am not comfortable with all this. I think im gonna back down. Let her steal the spotlight. Let her get the attention because after all, its her birthday. And i have no prob with it. Im not saying that she wants attention. I just feel that its her day. Let her enjoy it. But h wont let me. He said i should go. But he's not even sure if he'll get an off day on that fate. So it all depends later. To me, i prefer not going. But if h insist, i have to go no matter what.
Awkward. I better shut my mouth during that dinner. Its so obvious his mother enjoys talking to me more. Maybe because we have the same interests. Lol.

Mystery Trip
Company sent an email to all of us to cancel all
meeting/appointments for a day as we’ll be going out of office to
god-knows-where. Just 2 hints – there will be a bus, wear casual.
7am motherfucker. Ive never woken up so early like that
for ages and u expect me to be at office by 7? Crazyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!
But I did anyway. Lol. I was all up by 6 and got to
office lobby on time. It felt like i’m having a massive hangover + stoned. Bus
arrived just as promised, and off we go to don’t know where. They wont tell. We
started taking bets and all hoping that one of it hits the right destination.
Janda baik.
Team building.
What the hell? U could’ve just told us, right? Haha. The bosses
really wanted us to get away from the city and work to the point that they
informed the management to NOT GIVE ANY OF US THE WIFI PASSWORD! Because the 3G
was so poor, everyone was fucked up.
Which is good I guess.
And fun.
But we still have to work. They gave us a few assignments
and we have to develop ad campaigns based on the task given. And at the end of
the session, there was a final panel discussion whereby every team has to send
1 rep to join an open topic discussion.
They pushed me.
Even though I held the bean bags so hard I really don’t want
to let it go.
But they succeed.
And so I went in front and talk shit and manipulate the
topic the best I could as I always do.
If u don’t know how to convince them, confuse them.
