christmas shopping

ahaaaa... it's the time of the year again.

i took a leave today so that i can hangout with H on a proper date, like meal, movie and shopping. we havent done that for ages and i kinda miss that. we've been too busy with our schedules (omg i havent even blogged about my hectic work recently), me and H kinda had a brief argument and well, broke apart for a while. 7 miserable days without him, his presence, his voice nor his texts. that means, he is the one and i cant live without him ever. sobs.

back to the shopping and shit. we went to watch The Hobbit - my goodness H is fucking obsessed with it! i knew he's a die hard LOTR fan, but i didnt expect him to react the way i felt about twilight. he cant stop talking about LOTR, the hobbits, the background, what happened, what's not covered in the movies, what's in the books and all.... i feel like an idiot because i dont know shit about this. i mean, yes ive watched LOTR all 3 trilogy (we had a back-to-back marathon at home, under H's force). so i can say that i briefly know what the movie is all about. but him, obsessing about it? woah too much for me to handle. he should watch it with azielah or any other lotr fan. i am just not the right partner. haha.

oh, oh! i loveeeeeeeee the new refurbished TGV cinema in OU. modern, SPACIOUS, lovely! good job tgv team!

but.

burger king did a big mistake changing their outlet's management system. the interior is nice, really. but now they have like TWO (only) cashier for ordering, and another pickup station. service is slow. the queue was so long because there's only 2 cashiers. the food took forever to get it done. and no more refills allowed. what?! u charged 15bucks for a meal and there's no refill??? worse, their smoking area doesnt have ashtrays and people throw their ciggie butts and packs out the window onto the roof below. and u can see the litters all over the rooftop. it's dirty and disgusting.i had to flick my cig and throw the butt on the floor because at least, they are going to clean it up rather than throwing it outside the window. i still feel guilty about doing so.

it's like a combination of starbucks and subway. tah pape.

christmas shopping.

we dont actually celebrate christmas, christmas. if u know what i mean. it's just another reason for us to buy gifts for each other every year. it's becoming our annual tradition already, except that this year we may not have a feast for it as we already committed to other appointments. anyway, last year i bought H razer keyboard because he complained a lot about his keyboard ruining his gaming sesh. this year, i bought him a razer mouse. oh it's just so happened that his mouse stopped working under his commanding fingers a week or so ago. im thankful it saves me from torturing myself on what to buy for him this year. he wanted the same mouse model he's been using for years which is the Razer Copperhead. but they stopped producing it a longggg time ago and we have to look for other models. we've decided on DeathAdder because he's familiar with it. it's actually an old model too but they are still selling it in the market. the other models are either too complicated with too many buttons or too pricey. whatever, it's just a fucking mouse! i cant believe how particular he is when it comes to his gaming equipment. he looks into details like, it has to have some certain dpi for it for 'precision' he said, buttons to control whatever shit, ergonomic, sensors for better movement, etc etc etc! oh dear. that is just about a mouse.

i could bleed to death when hearing him talk about headphones specs and all other stuff. but i must say, it is interested when he explains some stuff about gaming to me that i wasnt aware of before. something like, how to be a good sniper in COD. how they look into details of wind speed, environment, distance and stuff like that too in the game. if a real sniper has to hold his breath before pulling the trigger, they gamers also have to hold the space key so that the game character will hold it's breath for 3 secs too. apparently his gaming team mate in COD ranks number 2 as the best sniper player in malaysia, among gamers of course.

but then again, H will talk about his COD era again and again and again. balik2 topic tu. he is so proud of his team. he and other 4 team members called RnF (Random Noob Faction.... LOL!!!) all amateurs joined a COD tournament (World GameMaster Tournament 2008 Malaysia) and got themselves no. 2 in malaysia, few years ago. so so proud. because no. 1, 3 and 4 were all professional gamer teams (those who are actually sponsored to play games and join tournaments), so when they won the tournament, they were so proud of it like gila babi. H said he even got famous after that, that people in low yat could recognized him. but of course, ali is the most popular since he was the one who won the game. H was called Monkey, Ali was famous for his nickname Enzo. cannot gooooooo all these people ada nicknames macam ni. some of the tournament's rules are a bit ridiculous to me - tak boleh pakai shorts (wtf?), no cursing or u'll get a yellow card, and ure banned once u get red card (H said he collected yellow cards a lot, but lucky enough not to get the red ones).

u can find some of the coverage of the tournament from the links here  and here. most of it have been taken down, or expired.

so yeah. i believe im marrying a gamerholic. thank god he's no longer joining those tournaments and not as active as before. when we were dating earlier those days, he still goes to cybercafes (bringing his own keyboard and mouse and headphones). im glad it stopped already.
